Experience

I am currently a classroom teacher here in Washington. I have three years of experience and have worked with a wide variety of students. As our department's Safety Net teacher, I have developed a program to help students who struggle with language arts and/or motivation. I am also a 504 coordinator in my school, meaning I work with students with disabilities or other barriers to develop a plan that ensures their success. I know how to work with students who find high school challenging. I have also taught Honors English 9 and Cambridge English 10 (a course very similar to AP Language and Composition), so I have experience working with students who are already excelling and need to be challenged. I would be thrilled to bring my classroom expertise to tutoring. A high school student working on language arts and related skills would be a best fit, but I am happy to discuss any inquiry.
